Passed away peacefully at Parkwood Institute Veteran's Care, London on Saturday May 28, 2016. Don Kernick formerly of Goderich in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Marjorie (Castle) Kernick of Maitland Manor, Goderich for almost 68 years. Loving father of Margaret (Brian) Allen of Orillia, Ted (Anne) Kernick of West Perth, Mary (John) Spence of Goderich. Proud grandpa of Nathan Allen, Myles Allen, Lisa (Tom) Scotchmer, Lori Kernick, Sarah (Andrew) Campbell, Joe (Carly) Turford and great grandpa of Brent and Ally Scotchmer, Ethan, Elizabeth, Charlotte and Lorraine Campbell, Lola and Lars Turford. Predeceased by his sister Shirley (Dave) McLeod. Survived by brothers-in-law Reg (Marion) Castle, Earl Dolliver and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at McCallum & Palla Funeral Home, 11 Cambria Road North, Goderich on Wednesday June 1, 2016 from 10 AM until the time of funeral at 11 AM. Private interment Exeter Cemetery. Donations to Veterans Care at Parkwood Institute or Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 109 gratefully acknowledged.
