Leo Joseph Cull, 83
On Monday April 18th, the world was forever changed with the passing of Leo Cull, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Friend and all round great man.
Born in Sturgeon Falls Ontario to Mary-Ellen and Michael Cull, Leo lived most of his adult life in Ottawa and Stratford Ontario and most recently in Goderich.
Leo’s life was a full one. After a long career with Bell Canada, his many passions included music, especially Hank Williams, gardening, travel and spending time with his family and good friends. His love of animals was never more felt than that for his little pal Teddy. Together they walked many miles over the years and shared many a piece of toast.
Loving husband of Lillian Cull, predeceased in 2009, this gentle and warm hearted Irishman made a profound mark on all he met.
No greater impact and his greatest gift was that of being a remarkable Dad. Leo was immensely proud of “his girls” Mary Cull (Walter) of Goderich Ontario, Anne (aka Nina) Clarke (Dave) of Calgary Alberta, Sue Andersen (Pat) of Orleans Ontario and Kelly Myers (Dave) of Stittsville Ontario. Never a moment went by where they didn’t feel his love and guidance in their lives. This is a never ending love.
In his later years that capacity grew to being a fun loving and engaged Grandpa to Evan, Jack, Christopher, Adam and Katie. The memories they have of time spent with “faraway” Grandpa and his wonderful stories will touch their lives forever. His love extends to other grand children through his daughter’s marriages, all of whom shared special moments and memories with him over the years.
Leo was predeceased by his brothers Terry Cull (Jeannine) and Andy Cull (Helene) and by his sister Marlene Bertrand (Roger). He is survived by his brothers Lacey Cull (Roly), Don Cull (Lynn) and a host of wonderful nieces and nephews and friends and one very special friend, Ottilie Schneurer, for whom he had great admiration.
A special note of gratitude to the wonderful Staff, Nurses and Doctors at the Clinton Hospital. Your care for Dad in his final months was so kind and so appreciated.

So for now Dad…
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields and,
Until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand

PTL
