<div itemprop="description">VanDiepenbeek, MaryAnne Elizabeth, 59, of Ashfield Township after a courageous 10 year battle with cancer, peacefully with family at Alexandra Marine &amp; General Hospital, Goderich on Friday March 27. She was the beloved wife and best friend of Ben VanDiepenbeek for 36 years. Loving mother to Mark (Erin), Thomas (Natalie), Ben (Kristina) and Michael (Jacki) all of ACW. MaryAnne was a proud and devoted Grandmother of five beautiful grandchildren; Evelyn, Joe, Kasin, Ira and Anna. <br /><br />She is survived by siblings Diane (John) Houston of London, John (Gayle) of Beamsville, Mark (Pat) of Collingwood, Janice (Bob) Ujimoto of Calgary, Jim (Jenny) of Beamsville, Virgina (John) Stright of ACW, Elizabeth (Brent) Wilson of Goderich, Maureen (Randy) Braseau of St. Catharines and Christine (Lorne) Munn of Delta B.C. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews.<br /><br />Predeceased by her parents Jack and Theresa Redmond, brother Michael, sister Cynthia Andrews, brother-in-law Peter VanDiepenbeek, and parents-in-law Frank and Annie VanDiepenbeek.<br /><br />Upon graduation from Niagara College, Mary Anne embarked on her first career as a legal assistant. She chose to stay home to be a full time mother to four busy boys, then to Sifto Salt before a very successful career in real estate. In recent years, Mary Anne found her calling as an involved, fun and loving grandmother.<br /><br />Spending quality time with family and friends was always a priority for Mary Anne. Her engaging manner created a home where everyone felt welcomed and were treated to her quick wit and hospitality. Mary Anne was determined and everything she did was done with passion and done to the best of her ability. <br /><br />Visitation is at the McCallum and Palla Funeral Home in Goderich, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Monday March 30, 2015<br />Funeral service to be held at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Goderich at 11am (eulogy at 10:45) on Tuesday March 31, 2015<br />Spring Interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery Kingsbridge<br /><br />Donations to the Children&rsquo;s Hospital LHSC are appreciated as expressions of sympathy.<br /></div>
