Wanda was born in Toronto the only child of Frank and Elaine Beasley. She began figure skating at a young age and worked her way up to her gold medal. During this time, she headlined many skating carnivals in the U.S.A. and Canada including a stop in Goderich. In 1955 she competed in the Canadian Nationals and became the Canadian Jr. Ladies Champion. She turned down an invitation to the World competition and in 1956 married Allan MacDonald and moved to Goderich. She raised three children Susan (MacDonald) Helm of Kitchener, Laura (MacDonald) Frayne (Mark) of Dungannon and James (Jim) MacDonald and his soulmate Heidi Tiedge of Toronto. She will also be sadly missed by six grandchildren.

At Wanda’s request there will not be any visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place.
